XML Sitemap Generator
Build an XML sitemap for any site by crawling its pages.
What does this XML sitemap generator do?
It crawls your site starting from the URL you give and builds a sitemap.xml file with the URLs it finds. The sitemap includes a last modified date, change frequency, and priority for each URL, all the standard fields search engines expect.
Why submit a sitemap to search engines?
A sitemap tells Google and Bing exactly which URLs you want indexed. It speeds up discovery for new pages, helps with deep pages buried in your site, and gives a clean signal of your site structure. Submitting it through Search Console also unlocks coverage reports that show indexing progress.
How do you use this tool?
- Enter the URL where the crawl should start, usually your homepage.
- Click Crawl and build sitemap.
- Download the resulting sitemap.xml and upload it to the root of your site.
- Submit the URL of your sitemap inside Google Search Console.
When should you skip URLs from the sitemap?
Skip URLs that are noindex, password protected, or duplicate. Only canonical, indexable, useful URLs belong in the sitemap. A clean sitemap with one hundred quality URLs ranks better than a noisy sitemap with one thousand junk URLs.
