What is title pixel width and why does it matter?
Google does not cut titles by character count, it cuts them by pixel width. A wide title with capital letters and Ms can hit the limit at fewer characters than a narrow lowercase title. This tool measures actual rendered pixel width so you know if your full title will show or get truncated with an ellipsis.
Why does title truncation hurt SEO?
A truncated title cuts off your strongest words, hurts click through rate, and often loses your brand name. Strong titles inside the pixel limit get higher CTR, which Google reads as a relevance signal over time.
How do you use this tool?
- Type or paste your page title in the input.
- Watch the pixel width and the live Google snippet preview update in real time.
- Trim words until the bar stays green and the snippet shows the full title.
When should you stretch close to the limit?
Use the full available width for high traffic landing pages where every word matters. For short brand pages, stay well under the limit and keep the title clean. There is no bonus for long titles, only for clear ones.
