Favicon Generator
Build a multi size favicon set from any image.
HTML tags to add inside <head>
What does this favicon generator do?
It takes one source image and creates the full set of favicon sizes a modern site needs. You get sixteen, thirty two, forty eight, sixty four, ninety six, one eighty, one ninety two, and five twelve pixel versions. The tool also gives you the HTML link tags to paste inside the head of every page.
Why does favicon size matter?
Different devices and platforms request different sizes. Browser tabs use the small ones, iOS uses one eighty pixels for home screen icons, and Android pulls one ninety two and five twelve for app shortcuts. Without the right sizes your icon looks blurry where it matters most.
How do you use this generator?
- Drop a square image, ideally five twelve pixels wide or bigger so all sizes look sharp.
- Wait for every variant to render.
- Download each PNG and upload them to the root of your website.
- Copy the HTML tags into your head section.
When should you use SVG instead?
SVG favicons are sharp at every size and ship as a single tiny file. Modern browsers support them. Combine an SVG favicon with a PNG fallback for the best of both worlds.
