UTM Link Builder
Build trackable URLs with proper UTM parameters in seconds.
What is a UTM link and why does it matter?
A UTM link is a normal URL with extra tracking parameters at the end. Google Analytics, GA4, and most modern marketing platforms read those parameters to tell you exactly which campaign sent each visit. Without UTMs, traffic from email, social, and partners often shows up as direct or unattributed.
Which UTM parameters are required?
Three are required and two are optional. utm_source says where the link lives, like facebook or newsletter. utm_medium says how, like email or cpc. utm_campaign names the specific push, like spring_sale_2026. The optional utm_term and utm_content let you split tests and ad copy variations.
How do you use this UTM builder?
- Paste the destination URL.
- Fill in source, medium, and campaign.
- Add term and content if you want extra precision.
- Click Build and copy the result. Use that URL anywhere you would have used the plain one.
When should you avoid UTMs?
Skip UTMs on internal links inside your own site. Internal UTM clicks reset the user session in GA4 and break true source attribution. Only use them on inbound links from outside your domain.
