SSL Certificate Checker
Check the SSL certificate, issuer, and expiry of any site.
What does this SSL checker do?
It connects to a domain over HTTPS, reads the SSL certificate, and shows you who issued it, when it was issued, when it expires, and which hostnames it covers. You instantly see whether the certificate is current, expiring soon, or already invalid.
Why does SSL still matter for SEO?
HTTPS has been a ranking signal for over a decade. More importantly, modern browsers warn users away from sites without HTTPS, which kills conversion rates. A broken or expired certificate is a faster way to lose trust than almost any other technical issue.
How do you use this tool?
- Type the domain you want to check.
- Click Check SSL.
- Read the issuer, validity dates, days left, and the list of covered hostnames.
When should you renew or fix a certificate?
Replace your certificate at least one week before expiry to leave room for retries. If the days left number drops below thirty and your provider does not auto renew, set a reminder. Free Let Encrypt certificates expire every ninety days and renew automatically when configured well.
